Hannia's Story

fellsmere, FL
My name is Hannia, I came to this country when I had barely turned 8 and I am now 15 years old, turning 16 in 2 months. I have been in this country for a little over 7 years, and I can honestly say that it feels like home, this is my home. I attend high school. I support the immigration reform because i'll be here legally, I wont have to worry about hiding from ICE whenever me and my family are out and about, or live with the fear of being deported. I want to attend college, my parents came here for a better life for them and especially for me. it hurts to not be like the rest of my friends and people my age that are getting their driving permit, getting a job and planning for college. I can plan all I want, but at the end, what will I do? I want to graduate high school, I want to go to college, I want to make something out of me, and make my family proud. All I want is to get an acceptance letter from the college I want to go to, and to actually be able to go. that is my DREAM.
